Joe Biden clarifies comments

During an interview on August 5th hosted by the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists, presumptive Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden made comments that many took as a judgment on cultural diversity"

Biden’s remarks from the interview released on Thursday:

Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly diverse attitudes about different thing.

He continued:

You go to Florida, you find a very different attitude about immigration than you do in Arizona. So it's a very diverse community.

Whether Biden would engage with Cuba and immigration concerns between Cuba and Venezuela, was the question asked by NPR reporter Lula Garcia Navarro, which triggered Biden's remarks on diversity.

After the video was released, Biden’s campaign refuted claims of judgment on cultural diversity. They insisted Biden was merely describing the diversity in political opinion among Latino Americans.
