Self-Care: Feed Your Spirit
Self-care is not just about the mind.
Real self-care is taking care of the mind, body, and spirit. I always stress the importance of intentionally feeding your mind positive things, thoughts, and ideas. We subconsciously feed our minds so many things throughout the day not realizing the impact it has on us. While you’re being intentional with what you feed your mind, don’t forget to feed your spirit.
Take care of your spiritual mind.
Like self-care everyone’s relationship with spirituality is different. In my life, religion is what guides my spiritual journey. Every morning as part of my morning routine, I connect with my spiritual side. My morning routine includes devotions, which is usually watching an online sermon or reading a verse/chapter from the Bible.
Verse of the Day
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:11✨
To me, spirituality has little to do with a specific religion.
Spirituality is an individual experience of learning and connecting with yourself to find inner peace and purpose.

Meditate
Meditation is a perfect way to discover yourself. Meditation forces you to take the time to really sit with your thoughts. For some, this may be hard. Don’t let your mind drift. Concentrate on your breathing. If you’re new to meditation start with small time intervals. Increase as your meditations progress.

Yoga is great for the mind and body. It not only relaxes the mind and relieves stress but it is also known to increase strength and flexibility.
