July. A New Month.

Welcome to July.

The start of a new month.

We are more than half way through the year. This year has been one for the history books, filled with twists and turns. Just when you start to let your guard down, chaos breaks out again.


Everything that’s occurred the past 4 months has given me enough time to think, evaluate, plan and to prepare. Throughout this time I’ve come to a lot of realizations and have achieved breakthroughs both professionally & personally.


After suffering creatively and personally because of lack of focus, I finally realized the effect recent world events were having on me, my mind an my overall well-being. Everything I was feeding my mind in the news, on social media, etc. was affecting both professionally and personally.


After checking in with others, it become clear I’m not the only one feeling on edge, mentally exhausted & just taxed. Our minds can only handle so much before it all begins to take a toll.


In an attempt to get back on track, I begin to research different methods and ways to take care of my mind and body.


Everything points to self care. Self care means what it says, the act of taking care of oneself. How you practice self care is up to you.


Some people have dedicated self care days, which they dedicate to showing oneself extra love and care. Others incorporate self care into their routine and make self care activities a part of their daily tasks.


Self care depends on the person. I created my own self care routine that fits my needs.

After performing my self care routine consistently for two weeks, I've felt and saw a change in myself.

I’m less edgy.

I have a better handle on my anxiety.

I’m able to focus better.

I even feel more organized and prepared to perform and complete tasks.


My self care routine has had an overwhelmingly positive and healthy impact on my life.


Every month, I offer myself & my readers a challenge to kick off the new month right. I usually encourage and emphasize the importance of writing new goals, both short and long term ones.

This month, I challenge you to not only write new goals but to also pinpoint an area in your life that you would like to see growth or progress in.

For me, this month will focus on feeding my mind with self care and progressing mentally, spiritually and professionally.

In order to achieve this, I will curate goals that will guide me in this process.


Goals

  1. Perform my self care routine consistently.

  2. Manifest everything I want.

  3. Create a 4-week business plan.

  4. Grow my podcast audience.

  5. Create a content schedule.

  6. Stay consistent with producing content.

  7. Book more clients (graphics, marketing, branding)

  8. Find my target audience

  9. Reach my goal number of subscribers

  10. Continue to grow my social medias
